Alexandra van der Rest

Winter Beach Farm is home to Grand Prix rider and trainer Alexandra van der Rest. Alexandra has competed and trained horses from youngsters to successful Grand Prix mounts.

Alexandra is an energetic, compassionate young woman who obtains tremendous joy from the training of horses and riders alike. She believes that a basis of patience, classical riding techniques and horsemanship paired with the modern style is the key to successful horses and riders. Alexandra has dedicated her life to furthering the horse sport and producing the horses and riders of tomorrow. Alexandra believes in a comprehensive approach to training, focusing on the entire horse and rider as a whole. She believes that all horses and riders need a very well balanced, well-rounded education to be the very best they can be.

Alexandra has shown across the country. Her competition career started on the west coast showing in California and Colorado. She moved east showing, while learning from a very diverse group of equine professionals. She finally settled in Florida where she absolutely fell in love with the professionalism of the East Coat and dedication to the equine industry. She chose to make Vero Beach her home base. Vero Beach is an absolutely beautiful town, rich in equestrian life. It is located less than two hours from the world renowned Palm Beach International Equestrian Center where WEF is held each year. It is also only a few hours from Ocala where HITS puts on a wonderful horse show. From Vero Beach, Alexandra is only a few hours away from yearlong showing at some of the best venues North America has to offer.

Some of Alexandra's achievements include; winning the music city Grand Prix in Franklin Tennessee abroad her mare Oxsona M. Also aboard Oxsona M she won the Grand Prix of Colorado Springs. Alexandra won the Sandia classic Grand Prix aboard her gelding Boy George. Alexandra won the 1.50 High A/O classic at WEF in Wellington Florida along with numerous wins in 1.40 classics at the Palm Beach International Arena. Alexandra has had many top placing's in Grand Prixs across the country. Alexandra loves working with young horses, teaching them the fundamentals for success. She rode her stallion Casanova 002 to a second place finish in the west coast 6 year old finals.

Carrie Kaim

Carrie has been riding horses for over 20 years. She has competed and trained all over the country with top professionals on the A circuit. Learning and working for many great professionals has taught her the value of great riding and great horsemanship. She loves to pass on her knowledge to her students. Creating successful riders both on and off the horse.
